A spectacular and rare variety of 'elephant ear' with velvety dark green leaves and sharp white veining. This is a highly sought after plant among houseplant enthusiasts due to its unique style and colouring. Being native to the rainforest, Frydeks are humidity-loving beauties. This makes them perfect bathroom or kitchen centrepieces! Being renowned air purifiers, these guys also offer great health benefits!
How to care:
Light - This tropical plant lives on the forest floor in the rainforest meaning it likes lots of indirect sunlight. Be careful - too much direct sunlight can harm her.
Water - Her soil should stay evenly moist but never waterlogged. Check your plant weekly but only water once the top couple of inches of soil is dry. When watering allow excess water to drain from the bottom of the pot. Water less in winter months.
Air - Frydeks love humid conditions so place in the kitchen or bathroom. You can also mist the leaves regularly to increase humidity.
Location - In front of a north-or east-facing window is a perfect spot. She likes a warm spot away from draughts.
Food - Use one plant food capsule (comes with the plant!) and replace after 6 months.
