On trend and truly stunning. Their gorgeous 'orb' shaped leaves with silver tones add a dimension of elegance and class to any environment. Also known as the orbifolia prayer plant, this member of the calathea family is highly sought after plant due to its contemporary looks and air purifying qualities. She is a relatively fast growing plant that reaches heights of around 1 metre with a leaf diameter of 30cm.
How to care:
Light - Plenty of bright indirect light - low light conditions will cause the beautiful silver tones to fade.
Water - Keep constantly damp but make sure your plant doesn't sit in water or in very wet soil. 'Little and often' is the way to go when watering this plant!
Air - These guys love humid air - mist their leaves every few days or use a humidifier!
Location - Put me in a location that gets plenty of indirect light. Keep her away from cold areas of the house in the winter, for example, on drafty windowsills.
Food - Use one plant food capsule (comes with the plant!) and replace after 6 months.
